Art capades
Art Capades provides easy, fun and educational Visual Arts activities suitable for early childhood. It is also available in Spanish. The 'You Choose' section allows students to explore and select art works from 28 examples. a.s.p.i.r.e. School Network
The a.s.p.i.r.e. school network is the Australian Olympic Committee's national education program for primary educators. It is a free, online, values based program that provides access to Olympic themed resources, a school recognition certificate, a newsletter and one Boxing Kangaroo (BK) Medallion, given to a student who demonstrates the a.s.p.i.r.e. values at school. This national health and wellbeing program for children is based on a Federal Government recommendation that children should participate in at least one hour of physical activity and eat seven serves of fruit and vegetables (two fruit and five vegetables) every day. NAWMA Environment Education Centre
The Environment Education Centre in SA features a large-scale viewing window, allowing people to view the Cleanaway trucks depositing loads of kerbside collected recyclable materials which are then sorted and packaged for transportation to various markets in Australia and overseas. Educational facilities include: a video that can be zoomed onto any part of the recycling line; a vast story wall; display worm farms and compost bins; and recycled products, including furniture and carpet made from recycled plastic. OzOutback, the Australian Outback, is a vast land, often harsh and unforgiving, but with great beauty and variety. This website provides many photographs of the the bush, its natural wonders, wildlife and towns, as well as a collection of photos of the First Australians: the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their culture and ceremonies. Tell the Time
This freeware is designed to help children learn to tell the time. The program provides children with access to a speaking play-clock together with exercises in setting a clock to a given time and reading the time from a pre-set clock. Questions can be on whole hours, half hours, quarter hours or five minute intervals. Tell the digital or analogue time. A bonus for students with impaired vision is the large, clear display.
